Here’s what I remember about Debbie: she was always smiling. Always. She loved her family fiercely. She loved animals, especially her horses. But she loved Jesus more than anything else in the whole world. Now she is sitting at His feet, worshiping, loving, and clothed in a glory we can’t even begin to imagine.

Our Facts Are Correct, and Our Rights Are Clear — So Why Are We So Wrong?
When it comes to Christians, the problem is not that we often get the facts wrong or that we don’t have the right to free speech and so forth. The problem is that we are letting the facts and our rights trump Jesus’s command to love our neighbor. And sometimes that means giving up our rights, even when we are factually correct and within our rights.

Many people desire to connect with God, but only on their terms. But God doesn’t allow us to connect or relate to Him on our terms. It’s His terms, or not at all.
The Sins of the Fathers
As I see my own failings as a father, I frequently get discouraged. I see my own sins passed on, and sometimes magnified, in my children. And then God, in his grace toward me, brings me gently to a “dry” and “irrelevant” case law regarding Ancient Near East inheritance, and he shows me that He is sovereign even over my sin.
